The Thrasher is listed as Discraft’s farthest flying disc that does not also have a super wide rim (which can be very difficult for most players to throw effectively).
It accomplishes this by combining very high glide with understable flight (Discraft’s 2nd most understable distance driver), allowing players to generate long, floating S-Shots using only moderately high release velocities.
Flight Rating Analysis (converted by BDGD from Discraft System):
|Distance Driver (2.1cm rim)||High Glide||VERY Understable (Discraft’s most understable rating)||Long, gentle, balancing fade at the end of flight|
Thrasher vs. Average Driver
Why X-Line Plastic?
X-Line provides the excellent grip of D-Line, but with significantly higher durability to help prevent the Thrasher from potentially becoming too overstable with lots of use.
Recommended Weight: 165-174g
These moderate to heavy weights allow players to optimize for maximum distance or to increase flight control.
“Double down on your firepower with Thrasher! It’s very fast and understable but not flippy, allowing huge distance from slower arms yet is completely big arm friendly. It will finish on a slow hyzer in most situations, so expect some gloriously clean anhyzers with a mild finish!er.” Source
